Elly aka Dusty

The name of this site comes from a friend of mine; he thought that, since I'm a bookworm and a fan of Jimmy Page, this nickname would have been perfect for me. :)
I live on my own in a small and cozy flat, in a town not far from Venice, Italy. I worked in various fields but I'm currently unemployed. In the meantime, I keep myself busy creating crafty little things like cross-stitch and crochet works. I recently found out I can draw, too... I'm not so good at it, but improvement comes with practice. :P
I lived for some time in London and Bournemouth between 2004 and 2005, and those where the best days of my life. I have been following the celtic pagan path for about 10 years: I'm not part of a coven, but I like to interact with other pagans: I'm currently one of the admins of a pagan message board, where my job is mainly taking care of the graphic.
I'm also a huge Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Page fan; I play piano & guitar and collect mugs & tarots. I am almost 24/7 online on Pinterest and my favourite tv-show is The Big Bang Theory. ^^

Interests

My greatest loves are:
music: I'm very eclectic when it comes to music. I listen to very different genres, from country to metal, from classical to irish folk, and everything in between. So it's easier to list what I don't like: rap, hip hop, r'n'b, emo, nu metal, techno and commercial pop. As above said, my all-time favourite band is Led Zeppelin, but Bruce Springsteen, Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell and Aerosmith have a special place in my heart.
traveling: my ideal journey is a USA coast-to-coast... or a trek in Wales... or an adventure in the wild Scottish Highlands... or a tour of Ireland. I prefer to travel alone, but sometimes it's good to be with a few well-selected friends.
photography: I love landscape photography... and I'm not into portraits. I use a Canon PowerShot S50, and I love it. :)
literature: I'm a Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings enthusiast. I also love Anne Rice' Vampire Chronicles and every book by Dan Brown, although the plot is almost always the same XD
yoga: and tai chi... nothing extraordinary... I just like to relax, especially early in the morning.
interior design: Shabby Chic is love, but Feng Shui became a way of life. Now I'm all into SpaceClearing!
web design: I discovered web design in early 2004, because I wanted to build a fansite dedicated to Led Zeppelin, and in 2007 I started to use Photoshop. I have never taken any lesson and all I know is thank to the designers I admired and studied during these few years. I used to check their codes, but not to copy: just to know HOW they had made such beautiful works. I bet every "self-tought" webdesigner does the same. ;)

Beliefs

politics: I hate both right and left-wing. I'm against the European Union and its totalitarism.
religion: pagan. Solitary, eclectic, simple and celtic-oriented. With a particular interest in working with energies, herbs, crystals and nature itself.
